Book Review: The Art of Racing in the Rain
This week’s mail has brought lots of good stuff. The first on Monday was a novel that I had seen the cover to and just felt like I had to read it. I haven’t read a lot of novels in the past 4 or 5 years. So it was strange for me to look at a book and feel like I just had to read it.
From the cover “The Art of Racing in the Rain has everything: love, tragedy, redemption, danger, and -most especially- the canine narrator Enzo. This old soul of a dog has much to teach to us about being human. I loved this book.” -Sara Gruen, Author of Water for the Elephants.
I opened the book, and started crying on the first page. It was so interesting to have a dog share with you the life experience of his owner’s family. A race car driver, I loved it. I stopped watching NASCAR when Dale Earnhardt died, I just couldn’t watch anymore not sure why. This book really brought back the feelings that racing stirs up in you.
It was a lovely book helped me get back into reading, and racing. It was an easy read. You don’t want to put it down. I finished it in two sittings.
Great book.

April 26, 2012oh wow, I really don’t like books that make me cry, I am not a pretty crier, all puffy and i get head aches….lol pitiful huh? I love to read though, mystery novels with a touch of romance and I am happy! Anyway…I digress, I visited your blog during the big UBP linky party and just want to invite you to join us each Thrusday for Project Pinterest where everyone can share what they create by being inspired by something they pinned. I hope you can join us! http://inthehillsofnorthcarolina.blogspot.com/
