Cabinet resurface
As the title of our blog states, Three very unique people live in our home. It makes for an interesting time when ever one of us wants some change. My husband was helping a friend build some shelves in her garage, when she offered him a large cabinet. Randy loved it, Large, dark deep burgundy wood:
I not so much, it’s dark drab, heavy, overpowers anything else that is in my space, and it had to go into my space because everyone else’s space was full. I’m a minimalist them not so much.
So I sanded it:
And painted it white! It was then allowed to stay in my space, but what was it going to be used for? Well a while back my daughter gave up her room to a friend and foreign student from Hong Kong. So Stephanie’s stuff had to go where ever it would fit. Her jewelry table went into my bedroom and for the past 3 months I’ve had to deal with this:
It was a no brainer, Stephanie’s Jewelry stuff was going to go in the cabinet! My daughter and I are polar opposites when it comes to organization. So I figured even if she doesn’t keep the cabinet organized, I can at least close the doors! This is what she ended up with:
We bought slide mechanisms to install a piece of wood that would slide out for a desk area.
So far so good, it even brought her good luck, she sold a couple of items from her Etsy store.
How do you guys organize your crafts?
