Photography To much light
Little Lexi turned 4! Man how time fly’s and these aren’t even my babies. She had a little get together at the park at 1 pm. I’m so used to the camera doing all the work, that I just don’t bother to remember all those photography rules and camera settings I learned in my Photography class.
But guess what, the camera doesn’t know what to do with to much light. I was able to make some of the images ok but it is always better to take a dark picture than it is a light picture. I don’t have Photoshop right now, so I’ve been editing my pics in Picasa, great free software.
Open the picture in Picasa and then click on the dark/light sun icon and there you are able to move the Highlights and Shadows slide bars, and darken your image some.
You are then able to save your changes. That was the only way I was able to get a few ok pics of this sweet little girl.
I think this might be the first time ever catch the lips in the ooo position.
Mom was nice and didn’t shove her face into the cake when she took a bite.
My sister had a spider man pinata from Keegan’s party we weren’t able to brake.
And here is my big kid (my husband).
For some reason she hasn’t been wanting to be photographed lately so I have to be sneaky.
This is one of 10 pics, she kept putting her new purse in front of her face.
I’m glad that there are free software programs that allow you a good degree of photo editing. I can’t wait until I can afford my Photoshop again. One of the down sides of upgrading to a newer computer, sometimes the old software doesn’t work.
What do you edit photo’s in?

February 6, 2013Sorry Raquel – I just assume everyone knows, the two little ones I talk about are my niece and nephew. My baby girl is 21 years old. I guess I should write every post as if it’s the first one people have read on my site, because sometimes it is. Thank you for your comments.
