I’ve sewn many aprons, and I’ve created a few apron patterns. Yet, I always had a vision to make a pattern that resembled the betty boop cartoon. The perfect heart neckline, the cinched waist and the wide ruffle bottom. I finally finished such a pattern.
I decided to make it out of the beautiful fabric I found at Joann’s Fabrics & Crafts, because I didn’t think that my nieces would like a solid black apron with a white skirt. My next step with this pattern is to create Women’s sizes and that sample will be in black and white!
My adorable niece is a small size 3, so I used her as my model, and what a model she was. Look at her moves:
She always make the perfect little model. You can find the pattern for sale in my Craftsy store, buying from Craftsy allows you to have an instant download of the pattern. No waiting for emails or links.
This child is such a sweetheart – I hope you have one just like her that you can sew an apron for. Let me know if you have any questions about anything – sewing, patterns…?
